Uploading to Garmin Connect: status

2/16/2014

- Sportablet 6.3 and the Uploader for Garmin 5.4  fixed a general problem with file uploads, triggered by a change on garmin connect.

- Sportablet 6.4 and the Uploader for Garmin 5.5 fixed a general problem with TCX  file uploads, again triggered by a change on garmin connect This change is only effective if you have:
- a forerunner 201, 301, 205, 305, 405, 405CX, 410
- an edge 205 or 305
- one of the handheld models currently supported by my apps

Update:
There seems to be a small number of users who are still experiencing upload problems, even though they're using FIT-based devices (310, 610, 910, 800, etc). This appears to be a problem with garmin connect, not related with my app. Based on some info I gathered on garmin forums, I asked a few guys to try out this procedure, which seems to work:

- save a FIT file from my app, try to upload manually using your PC; if it fails, it's probably that garmin connect issue. To fix it:
    - go to your profile on garmin connect
    - change your time zone; for instance, if you're in +8 Australia, set it to +8 China
    - log out / log in again
    - try to send the file
    - if it works, you're done. Now uploading from my app will work too

I understand this may seem weird, however it has been verified by quite a few people. Once again, this has nothing to do with my apps, just trying to help you guys, the problem is with garmin connect.

Thanks for your efforts. FR305 now uploads fine to my Kindle Fire. Will post positive review on Google Play.

I am experiencing the same problem, unable to login to Garmin Connect from the Sportablet app, trying to send data from a FR610. Very frustrating, as this is the reason why I purchased the app in the first place...
