Next steps: share the Garmin Connect link on twitter and facebook directly from Sportablet, perhaps with a nice map preview as well :-).
Sportablet 2.0 can upload your activities directly to Garmin Connect. That means you never have to leave your Android tablet or do a manual upload. Here is how it works: open your activity, click on Share, then on Post to Garmin Connect: Enter your Garmin Connect username and password (for convenience, they will be saved on your tablet). You can also choose to make the activity public, that is, to unlock the lock pad for you so that other people can see your activity. Sportablet will log in for you, upload your file, make it public if necessary. In the end, you'll get a screen like this: The hyperlink is a real hyperlink :-), so if you click it, your browser will open up and show that page.
Next steps: share the Garmin Connect link on twitter and facebook directly from Sportablet, perhaps with a nice map preview as well :-).

Well Clint, that's called an in-app purchase. The app is free to try. When you first upload, one of the activities is unlocked so that you can see what the app can do. However, to unlock the app you have to purchase a license. That's done through google play as usual, so it's not really the app asking for a credit card, is google. Not every app is free.

I agree, a bulk upload feature would be awesome!

Jon, not with the current version. The app is looking for a Garmin device, not for files. Still, this has been requested a few times before, and in practice, the app can do 98% of the work involved.

PLEASE! I also run a rooted MotoActv and have been trying desperately for an automated solution to upload to Garmin Connect! I already have a MotoActv exporter running that publishes all my workouts as TCX's and a script running that pushes them to my phone and dropbox via bluetooth/wifi. Getting it to GarminConnect and Strava though... beyond my rudimentary code skills.

Jon, I've had no time so far to properly blog about this, but if you get the latest version of the app, you simply have to go in options, click on "force files path", set the path where your tcx are (case sensitive as usual in android) and you're set. The app will load all the tcx that you put there (only new files are loaded). You don't need to set any other option.

Hello Carlo I trying to buy the application but from Italy it is not possible to use Google wallet. Is there any other option?

it's definitely possible to purchase the app from Italy through google play, people do it all the time. There is a general issue with google play when you use AMEX cards, you can't buy an app which is priced in euros with that kind of card. Don't know if that is your problem though.

Hi. I have an issue with uploading. When I have 2 activities waiting on my Edge 500 the uploader will only allow me to view and export the earliest one. In the report it sees 2 activities. I have a Samsung galaxy s6.

Garmin uploader is great. A bulk upload - select all to upload is a significant missing feater. Despite tour ass umed use cases :)

G'day Carlo. Publishing to Garmin Connect has stopped working for me. Everything was working fine a few days ago but now it just keeps coming up with a connection error. login details are good and I can login online ok. I can also publish direct to Strava and Training Peaks from the app no problem but not garmin connect. I am using your Garmin uploader on a Samsung Tab A 8" tablet. Download from watch is perfect just not that one export function...guess you will need a log file but cant work out how to do that, I have selected diagnostics etc...

if you can't see the button, you bought the wrong app. sportablet is for 10", 4/3 tablets only, as explained here and in google play. If you have a different device, you need my uploader for garmin, which works with any screen size (the entire idea of "try before you buy" is that one can actually try before buying : )
