Got a smartphone or a small-screen tablet? check out the Uploader for Garmin!

Sportablet is available on Google Play

For a list of supported devices /
tablets, see the answers page

      Welcome
to
      the future!

Using Sportablet, you can connect your Garmin Forerunner or Garmin Edge (as well as your Swim, eTrex, Oregon, a few more Garmin devices) to your Android tablet and upload your activities. In the current version, you'll get these features:
  • Read data from your Garmin
  • Activity details and statistics.
  • Charts for speed, pace, altitude, power, heart rate, etc.
  • Google maps (street and satellite view).
  • Save your activity to SD card (in the native format: FIT/TCX/GPX depending on the device), or export them to GPX.
  • Upload activities to Garmin Connect, Training Peaks, Endomondo, RunningAHEAD, Strava, Runtastic, and post it to Facebook.
  • Email the activity, or upload to Dropbox, or share to any enabled app.
  • Import TCX / FIT files from SD card or flash drives
  • Track mileage for all your gear.
  • The app can also send tracks / courses to some Garmin devices (see here). This feature will be gradually implemented for all the supported Garmin devices (all those that can actually receive courses; some entry level models can't).

More features are coming. Take a look at the current development roadmap and help me shape Sportablet, by voting your favorite / most wanted features.

Please note that Sportablet is targeting 10" tablets at this time. If you want to use a smartphone, or a smaller tablet, check out its little brother, the Uploader for Garmin.

See it in action...

Watch a short live demo on youtube (an early version was used):
The Forerunner is connected to the tablet, activities are downloaded, then we go through Google maps & satellite view, charts (speed, pace, elevation), some statistics (duration, distance, average pace & speed), etc.

The video is HQ (720p), so I suggest that you watch it in full screen mode (while playing, click the square in the bottom right corner).

Sportablet is free to try: once you install the app, you can upload all the activities stored in your device, but explore only the most recent one.
Once you know that it works fine with your Garmin device and Android tablet, if you like what you see you can
activate it with an in-app purchase on Google Play. Price is about 5 euros / 6.6 $ - yes, is that much! (or, it's about the price of a sport drink, right?)

In-app purchases are slow, and may take a couple of minutes to be confirmed. Don't panic :-).
